I am working from a coffee shop this afternoon, as I am in that horrible in between hours of checking out of the previous and checking into the next. Across the road from me is a quaint little fish and chips shop called Golden Plaice. No pun intended, of course.
On top of the signage you have those pigeon repellent wires, and lo and behold, there is a pigeon beautifully nesting on the wrong side of the wires, whilst the partner ever so often lands and checks in to ensure the golden nest is safely protected.
It got me thinking. We are so concerned with deterrents, things-in-the-way, challenges, fear of failure or fear of not making it work. And then nature makes survival, well, so natural. Lesson in that for me today. Golden Plaice to be.
