Isn’t it funny how ~
Our measure of kindness changes when we want it displayed to us.
Our measure of acceptance changes when we feel done in.
Our measure of loyalty changes when they don’t walk our extra mile.
Yet we wear our kindness like a pair of new, flashy heels when a different human being feels too heavy a load to accept.
We pretend to strut our stuff, knowing we will stop walking after the first uphill as extra miles cause heel damage and discarding our flash is simple not and option.
Isn’t it funny?
No, it’s sad.
